Brian Carpizo is the Founder & CEO of TrustPlace Technologies, Inc. For more than 30 years, he has worked at the intersection of operations and technology as a consultant, entrepreneur, and software developer – sometimes all at once.
During the 2020 Pandemic, Brian launched TrustPlace to fill a gap he repeatedly observed in the marketplace – despite all the advances in tools and technology and long, expensive digital transformation efforts; these tools were often not applicable or accessible for much of frontline work in operations.
Before founding TrustPlace, Brian worked as a Senior Vice President at Uptake, an industrial AI software company. He was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Co, where he was a global leader in their IoT & Operations Advanced Analytics practice. He also was the founder and CEO of Junction Solutions, a leading operations software & services firm that provided Retail and Manufacturing industry solutions, where he was honored as a finalist for both the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Illinois Technology Association (ITA) City Lights awards. He began his career at Accenture.
Brian’s leadership on innovation has been recognized & featured in many conferences & publications, including Forbes, the Chicago Tribune, WBBM radio, Chain Store Age, Microsoft’s AI Future Now conference, Robotics Business Review, Retail Info Systems, Engineering & Technology magazine, and several McKinsey & Co articles.
Brian has a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA in Finance & Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He resides in the great City of Chicago and is the proud father of two adult children – and a little pit bull rescue named Pai.
