Protective Equipment

Certify Face Coverings are Obtainable and Worn Daily 4

  • Ensure face masks are worn by all students, faculty and staff at all times
  • Verify that staff and students are able to obtain cloth face coverings
  • Verify that communication is sent on who requires face coverings. Those under the age of 2 or with health conditions should not be required to wear a face covering.
  • Certify that individuals understand how to remove, use and wash cloth face coverings.

Hygiene, Cleaning & Disinfecting

Certify Daily Cleaning and Sanitization of Public Spaces Event 4

  • A High-Touch-Area custodian has been hired to sanitize various areas of the school throughout the course of a school day
  • Certify that adequate ventilation is available (windows are open) when disinfectants are being used and that no other individuals are inside the location being disinfected othen that the person using the disinfectant.
  • Certify that staff has been trained on usage and storage of the disinfectants, per the EPA. If changes are made to the procedure, all staff will be retrained on the changes.
  • Ensure each classroom and all high traffic areas a equipped with hand sanitizing stations and signage on how to properly sanitize

Certify Transportation Health & Safety Protocols Followed Daily Event 5

  • Ensure the temperature of every student and the drive is taken prior to entering the vehicle
  • Require all students and driver to wear face coverings at all times
  • Develop and adhere to a bus seating chart for the students. Students must sit in their assigned seat for entire block
  • Ensure buses follow gathering guidelines and no more than 50 people are on the vehicle at one time
  • Confirm each bus is electrostatically cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis

Certify Daily Classroom Cleaning Protocols Followed Event 5

  • Ensure desks are cleaned and sanitized by students and faculty at the end of each period
  • Have adequate supplies (art, books, writing, electronic devices) to minimize sharing, if not feasible, clean and disinfect between uses of individuals and groups
  • Ensure each classroom has a sanitization station for hand sanitizing and disinfecting materials for cleaning desks. Also include signage illustrating proper ways to sanitize and disinfect
  • Ensure student's belongings are separated from the other while they are in classrooms
  • Ensure all desks are spaced at least 6ft apart and are facing the same direction
